Music
I’m currently working on a traditional instrument based electronic ambient Album, dealing with the loss of free space in the countryside and the growing intensive development that harms the land and its people
These 2 pieces are demos of upcoming tracks. (meaning they are not exactly what you’ll hear in the album)
The flute one is made entirely of handmade flutes I made myself, they are recorded and layered through an effects pedal.
The Organ piece is a one take on an organ synthesizer layered over the soundscape of my village, specifically when heard from my home.
Both pieces are meant to be contemplative reflections of my experience in a land where time seems to stand still, and yet change is happening in a way that instils in me conflicting sense of longing and dread.
Lá nas árvores is a sound installation project, part of the Évora_2027 European Capital of Culture, where a selected group of artist answered an open call to submit an immersive sound piece related to the “natural sounding soundscape”
I was selected with a version of the Organ/Soundscape demo you can hear above, called “Natureza morta“ (Still life)
